Ruth is a full-service government contracts attorney who advises and represents contractors throughout the entire procurement process and contract life cycle.
Ruth is a government contracts attorney who represents and advises clients on all aspects of contract compliance, administration, and procurement. After enrolling in law school with a strong interest in policy, Ruth accepted a role with a Washington, DC nonprofit offering legal assistance to low-income residents facing eviction or other housing-related cases against landlords. The work was a fast-paced, deep dive into litigation.
However, Ruth’s time in DC had shown her the vast footprint of the federal government, and she found herself growing more and more fascinated with the complex body of law that governed federal procurement. This led to Ruth obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in government procurement. During the program, she had the opportunity to intern with the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, where she saw the litigation process for contractors firsthand.
With this background in litigation, Ruth combines her insight with hands-on experience, always prioritizing clients’ long-term interests and business goals. Ruth’s goal is to always act in the best interests of the client and to ensure that they are fully informed of every stage of the process and its potential implications. Employing her in-depth and practical, client-focused approach, Ruth also assists with contract negotiation, reviews, and regulatory compliance for both prime and subcontractors. She also assists institutions with federal grant reviews and compliance. The clients she serves span industries such as banking, education, construction, defense, geological natural resources, cybersecurity, and nonprofits.
