Emily handles a broad range of business disputes, with significant experience in breach of contract and financing matters. Her work spans several industries, including healthcare, where she has helped various healthcare clients navigate complex contract disputes, as well as property and financing disputes in the real estate industry. While Emily continues to represent clients across different sectors, she has a particularly strong focus on financial industry matters and financial litigation.
With a love for reading and writing, Emily is especially drawn to the research and writing aspects of litigation. She thrives on examining case law, analyzing issues, and developing effective litigation strategies to help move matters forward. After first joining the firm in 2021, Emily pursued a clerkship experience, assisting the Hon. Nancy Maldonado in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and later at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. During her time with the courts, Emily helped prepare for hearings and motion arguments, drafted opinions, and offered recommendations on rulings. The experience gave her a clear understanding of how cases progress and what approaches are most effective before a judge—both in written submissions and in oral argument. She also gained insight into the differences between trial and appellate work and is prepared to assist with appeals when they arise.
After her clerkships concluded in 2025, Emily returned to 麻豆十三女郎 with valuable perspective on strategies that lead to success in court. She is committed to understanding what clients need and delivering practical solutions that align with their goals.
